State Employees Will Get 2 Days Holiday On Guru Govind Singh’s Birthday

Hello friends, big news is coming from Bihar. In an exciting development, the Nitish Kumar-led government has made a significant announcement regarding the holiday calendar for state employees in 2025. According to the new calendar approved by the Nitish Cabinet, state employees will receive a total of 40 days of leave in the year 2025. This is an increase of four additional holidays compared to 2024, making the upcoming year even more beneficial for government employees in the state.

Guru Gobind Singh’s Birthday Will Be Celebrated Twice

One of the most notable aspects of this new holiday calendar is the decision to grant two separate holidays in honor of Guru Govind Singh’s birthday. In 2025, Guru Govind Singh’s birth anniversary will be celebrated on two different occasions – 6th January and 27th December. This decision is a reflection of the significance of Guru Govind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, who is highly revered, especially in Bihar, as he was born in Patna.

The dual celebration of Guru Govind Singh’s birth anniversary is an important cultural event for the Sikh community and has been met with widespread approval. The state government’s move to declare holidays on both these dates ensures that people can commemorate this occasion with great enthusiasm and devotion.

40 Days Leave Will Be Available In 2025

The decision to provide 40 days of leave in 2025 is part of a broader effort by the Bihar government to improve the work-life balance of state employees, allowing them more time to spend with their families and participate in important cultural and religious events. Along with Guru Govind Singh’s birth anniversary, the holiday calendar includes other important national and regional holidays, ensuring that employees get ample time off to relax and recharge. Want to tell you that in the year 2024, state employees got 36 days leave.
